TDU Finals Round 2: WAR vs. V//

Win: 14 - 0

Algiers

Great game for WAR.

Excellent communication along with good positions, provided us with a solid win. Runamok and Runaway dominated Camel Corner with Karrde playing a great role around the mid building. Fragnetic obliterated everything around the north boxes area, as you would expect. Howler was the man behind enemy lines and Thehated played defence perfectly. Great teamwork by WAR made for an easy victory.

Player of the match went to Runaway (Judges: chiller, tyrant, azza) but Thehated was sensational on defence and should be recognised.

GG, V//.

UZ TS Round 3: WAR vs. V//

Pretty close game on Casa, but we were just better. Had us really worried with Algiers with a few quick rounds going to V//, but we managed to beat them back.

TDU Finals Round 2: WAR vs. V//

Draw: 6 - 6

Turnpike

VERY tense game. V// beat us fairly convincingly on Turnpike and just defended hard on Casa.

Can't be bothered doing a proper write up myself, but if someone else wants to gimme a yell...and a write up.

UZ CTF Round 2: WAR vs. |tR|

Draw: 1 - 1

Casa

Abbey

With what seemed like a shortage of players the war against the asian clan tR started a little shakey. We soon got our mojo and the war was started with a bang, with several members turning up out of nowhere. With one sub under our belt we began our CTF match against them on their LA server (for an equal ping). With what seemed like tremendous effort and communication we came to a 2-1 lead at half-time on Casa. The second half was not so pleasant, with tR hounding on our defense as we conceded two caps. Out of the blue comes Kaoskazin (honorable mention) with a tremendous cap, bringing the score to 2-1. The score was like this until the dying moments of the map with a extraordinary amount of effort from Kaos to get the flag to narrows, which was then dramatically capped by Jigsaw with 6 seconds to go.

Starting off on Abbey with high spirits from winning our last map we continued to hound on their defense with Kaos again pulling off some incredible caps. Bringing the half-time score 5-2 in our favor. Playing the last half began to get hectic with tR bringing the score 2-0 their way, putting us just 1 cap in-front, and suddenly! The server crashed. Unfortunately we couldn't use our server (because of the lack of the UZ config) and ended playing on their server. With our sub having to leave we knew this was going to be intense, with some of their members pinging below 5, while us sitting at 160-350. Unfortunately tR continued to send wave after wave at our defense with us conceding quite a few captures. Ending the second half with 9-7 in their favor resulting in a draw. A tremendous game played by both teams.

UZ CTF Round 1: WAR vs. V//

Win: 2 - 0

Ramelle

Turnpike

Ramelle was very close with a 1-0 win in our favour, though I wasn't there so I couldn't tell you have eventful it was (hint hint). Going into the second game with a win under our belts was certainly a good position to be in, but maybe we were over-confident.

Turnpike started with V// pounding on our defence continuously and not letting up, and it worked. V// took the first half with a fairly convincing score of 3-1. After the first half of Turnpike it was looking like the match might be a draw, but we managed to rally (and to be fair we were now on the easy side of the map). Just as V// had been hammering away the last half, we hammered away this half, and V// started to crack under the pressure. In the dying minutes of the second half it was cap after cap for WAR and only one or two for V//.

At the end of the day it was WAR's match, taking it in clean games: 2 - 0
